Advantages and scope of application of PTFE lined pipeline anti-corrosion
Advantages of PTFE lined pipelines for corrosion prevention: 1. High temperature resistance {the operating temperature can reach 260 degrees Celsius.}
2. Resistant to strong acids and alkalis with a pH value between 1 and 14. }
3. Excellent adhesion: Negative pressure can reach 0.09MPa, with vacuum effect. }
4. Long service life {Under normal conditions, it can be used for 8 to 10 years, and the warranty period is generally promised to be 1 year.}
5. Strong impermeability: Various gases such as hydrofluoric acid, chlorine gas, and bromofluoric acid have good impermeability
Requirements for the selection of steel pipes and flanges lined with PTFE pipes and fittings
1. The pipeline adopts national standard seamless steel pipe. Due to process requirements, the effective diameter of the lining pipe is smaller than the nominal diameter of the steel pipe. The designer and user determine the diameter of the steel pipe after necessary effective flow standards.
2. Flanges can be customized according to national standards such as HG, GB, JB, ANSI, JIS, BS, DIN, etc. They can be forged or determined by contract. As for the sealing surface processing technology, it is recommended to use plate type flat welding flanges and neck type flat welding flanges. The sealing surfaces are all flat sealing types. In order to facilitate pipeline installation, flat welding ring movable flanges can be provided for users.
Scope of use of PTFE lined pipes
1. The pipes and fittings are subjected to a hydrostatic test at 1.5 times the design pressure
2. After the PTFE lining layer is subjected to hydrostatic testing, 100% integrity inspection is carried out, and the leakage point inspection method adopts electric spark testing
3. Scope of use
a. Operating temperature -20~200 ℃
b. Use pressure ≤ 2.5Mpa
c. Allow negative pressure DN ≤ 250mm to -0.09Mpa, DN>250mm to -0.08Mpa
d. Can transport strong acids, strong bases, organic solvents, strong oxidants, toxic, volatile, and flammable chemical media of any concentration
